What is isiModul?

isiModul is a servo drive system with motion controller for operation of up to three motors.

What makes isiModul superior to other drive systems?
isiModul is unbeatable at positioning fast and jerklessly.

When would employ isiModul?
If you need power of up to 10 A per drive and work with a machine control like SPS or Soft-SPS.

Power Range
Supply voltage of isiModul can be either DC to connect DC links or AC.

•  DC: 30 V - 600 V
•  AC: 1 x 115 V - 230 V or 3 x 115 - 480 V

No matter which kind of supply you chose, you can always use a maximum current of 20 A peak or 10 A continuous per axis. Maximum per 3-axis module would be 20 A continuous or 40 A peak current.

Example: With one isiModule you can control an XXY-gantry system with a load of 100 kg that positions within 500 ms on a way of 1 m. On the other hand you can also control three stepper motors with a flange of 40 x 40 mm.

Tracking Control
The basis of isiModul is a very fast component that processes current, speed and position control circles of three axes synchronously within 0.0625 ms. Every 0.5 ms the tracking control sends new demand values for jerkless traveling. The tracking control is embedded in a fast real-time operating system which can process up to 40 commands per ms. Thus you can easily set up advanced superior controls like object tracking, pressure control, flying saws, glueing applications robot kinematics or winders.

Autotuning
With the user interface isiControl you can identify loads, inertias, friction or resonances and on the push of a button generate drive parameter that need no further tuning. This functions also with coupled systems like H-bridges or gantry systems.

Generator of characteristics and duty cycles
With this function you can record motor characteristics like torque/speed or force/speed characteristics. If the motors have a KTY sensor the duty cycle generator determins the duty cycle for a certain kind of movement and a freely selectable temperature. All recordings can be saved as text files and transmitted to a quality system.

Integration into a cabinet
isiModul can easily be integrated into a cabinet because you need neither filters nor additional brake resistors. The tracking controller communicates via CAN or Profibus with superior controllers and also functions as a stand alone solution. Ethernet is another interface to networks. Based on powerful dll-functions you can programm customised user interfaces. For applications in measurement technology isiModul is available as LABview instrument driver for plug and play.
